The Ranked board lists players by ELO rating, earned in ranked games on a 3-minute clock. Every account starts at 500. Ratings move fastest over your first 30 games, so a new player finds their level quickly, and steady after that. Beat a stronger player and you gain more than you would for beating a weaker one.
Your rating also sets your rank, one of seven from Scout to Grand Architect, shown beside your name. See all seven ranks and what each one unlocks.
The Puzzles board lists players by puzzle rating, which moves with your first try at each Quoridor puzzle while you are signed in.
